The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) handles and manages all the aspects of the security checkpoints at Midway International Airport.
The TSA checkpoints operate at Midway from 3:30 AM to 11:00 PM every day.
If you want to save yourself time for your departure it is also advised to: Ensure there are no prohibited items in the luggage; Have a valid identification and boarding pass out before arriving at the travel document checker; Remove liquids and large electronics from carry-on baggage; Remove footwear. Outwear, bulky jewelry and empty all pockets while waiting in line;
To be sure that the items you carry are not prohibited, travelers can use the “When I fly I can bring my…” search tool on https://tsa.gov. This is the tool that helps travelers be sure what is allowed and prohibited both in carry-on and checked in luggage.
If your flight is canceled and you have to spend a night at Midway International Airport, the Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) will provide you with passenger Amenity Kit to make your stay more comfortable.
